[2023 FireEXPO] Tank Tech Co., Ltd., beyond mobile, to fixed type... Evolved electric vehicle response equipment

[FPN Reporter Choi Young] = Tank Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO Joo Kwang-il, Kim Young-han) revealed the appearance of a more advanced electric vehicle fire suppression device.

Tank Tech's electric vehicle fire suppression device is divided into two types: "mobile" for effective response at the accident site and "fixed" that can be fixed and used in an electric vehicle parking lot.

The biggest feature of this product is that it can directly waterproof water by drilling a hole in the battery case under the vehicle. It works by connecting the fire hose, pushing the device under the vehicle, and using water pressure, drilling a hole in the battery case under the vehicle and drinking water.

If the 40A fire hose is connected and the water source is supplied at a pressure of about 6 bar, perforation and waterproof functions are executed together. The time to puncture the battery case can be as short as 10 seconds and as long as 5 minutes.

In particular, the exhibition introduced a system designed to fix and install the equipment in the lower part of a parking lot or charging station. In other words, it is an unmanned automatic fire extinguishing system using a perforated fire extinguishing device.

The system, which is made of a compact size (1200x530x190) to allow installation inside a parking lot, is usually installed seated on the floor. However, when a fire breaks out, it automatically opens the door and rises to supply fire extinguishing water to the inside by drilling through the battery case on the lower side of the vehicle. Officials explain that the time needed to supply digestive water for operation is only around 20 seconds.

CEO Kim Young-han said, "We have completed the development of a system that can detect fires and automatically extinguish fires when electric vehicle charging stations catch fire, so we can supply technology to various sites worried about electric vehicle fires."
